Magesi Part Ways With Coaches

Magesi FC have announced that they have parted ways with their technical team, including former head coach Allan Freese following the side’s relegation to the Motsepe Foundation Championship.  

Freese arrived at the Limpopo side in February 2026 after the side parted ways with former coach John Maduka.

He was mandated with saving Magesi from relegation however they finished the Betway Premiership season in 15th position with 24 points.

But they still had a chance to save their topflight status at the promotion playoffs where they lost to eventual winners Milford FC in the mini league also involving Cape Town City last month.

Freese, 69, leaves with former long-standing assistant Abram Nteo, former fitness coach Pedro Picarro and former goalkeeper coach Fiston Kwabanga.  

In a statement on the club social media platform X they thanked the quartet for their contribution while wishing them well for the future.   

“To Allan, Abram, Pedro, and Fiston: Thank you for your efforts, your commitment, and your contribution to Dikwena tša Meetse,” Magesi stated.

“Although we didn’t manage to get to where we wanted as a club, your work on the training ground, the guidance you gave the players, and the professionalism you brought every day did not go unnoticed.

“Thank you for the standards you set, the knowledge you shared, and the love you showed for the badge. We are grateful for your time with Dikwena tsa Meetse. From the club and the Dikwena family, we wish you success, growth, and all the best in your next chapter.”
