Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates are soon intensifying their pre-season and test themselves against international opponents during their respective training camps in Spain, with more opponents being confirmed.
While Amakhosi’s friendly matches against Al Kholood (15 July) and Elche CF (18 July) were confirmed earlier this week, despite the club still remaining mum on their pre-season fixtures, their lates opponent comes from Scotland.
On 12 July, Amakhosi will face Scottish giants Rangers FC, who finished in third place in the Scottish Premiership last campaign. They will face the Premier Soccer League giants at 19:00 at the Camilo Cano Olympic Stadium.
Meanwhile, Pirates’ clash with Saudi Pro League giants Al Ittihad, set for 21 July, was confirmed by their opponents on Tuesday.
A day later, the Buccaneers’ next opponents were also revealed, as Abdeslam Ouaddou’s side will face Cordoba CF on 12 July at the Marbella Football Centre at 19:00.
The 2025/26 Betway Premiership champions are expected to face at least one more opponent during their training camp in Spain, but equally to Chiefs have yet to make a public announcement on their pre-season fixtures themselves.
