Former Mamelodi Sundowns coach Manqoba Mngqithi believes his former side have found a gem in Siyanda Ndlovu.
Ndlovu, 22, was snatched by the two-time African champions following a good season with Golden Arrows where he helped the club finish in sixth position in the league with 41 points.
The winger played 31 matches across all competitions for Arrows where he scored four goals with eight assists to his name.
Speaking on #GameOn with Thabiso Mosia on Radio 2000, the new Yanga SC coach said people will also finally see that Ndlovu deserves a place in the national team.
“I think they are getting a gem,” said Mngqithi.
“I think they are getting a player that once he dons that Sundowns jersey, it will be very easy for everyone to say that he’s got a place in the national team.
“Probably because he was at Arrows, and sometimes in smaller teams you are subdued, you are under pressure, and it does not show the quality that you have.
“But that boy carried the team in so many ways, and he had so many assists, so many goals, and brilliant moments in the game. And I still believe he will have an exceptional period at Sundowns and he will be one of the best players.
“I just pray he does not get injured because without injuries, that boy is an amazing talent.”
