Orlando Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has hit back at critics in the manner in which he addressed his senior players in their previous clash.
This comes after the likes of Sipho Chaine and Nkosinathi Sibisi came under scrutiny from the French-Morroccan mentor for their performance in the 1-1 draw against AmaZulu FC on Wednesday.
On Sunday afternoon, the Buccaneers were merciless as they stormed to a heavy 3-0 win over Chippa United at Kings Park in Durban.
Ghampani Lungu, Lebone Seema and Daniel Msendami scored for Ezimnyama Ngenkani to help the side get back to winning ways after dropping points. They also toppled arch-rivals Kaizer Chiefs to cement the summit of the Betway Premiership standings.
In his post-match interview, Ouaddou was quick to address criticism from football fans, adding that after the talk, he got the response he wanted from his players.
“I think my boys gave me a great response,” he said on SuperSport TV.
“You know, when a father or big brother is shouting in the dressing room, who else knows better than me my players, the psychology of my players.
“So, people talk too much to say the coach he cannot talk like that in the media. I’m expecting an answer, and sometimes you need to be a little bit hard with your boys to have this kind of performance.”
