Former Mamelodi Sundowns defender Rushine De Reuck was the hero for Simba SC on Saturday, scoring the winning goal as the Tanzanian giants continued their perfect start to the 2026/27 NBC Premier League season.
Steve Barker’s side maintained their 100% record after securing their third consecutive victory of the new campaign.
Simba, who were reduced to 10 men later in the game, edged Singida Black Stars 2-1 away from home. The victory lifted them to the top of the standings with nine points.
Clatous Chama had opened after 13 minutes, but Singida equalised via Sheikhan Ibrahim after 24 minutes.
De Reuck made the decisive contribution in the 62nd minute when he converted from the penalty spot to put Simba ahead and help secure maximum points.
The South African defender started alongside compatriot Neo Maema, while another South African, Keletso Makgalwa, was an unused substitute on the day.
