Mamelodi Sundowns attacker Siyanda Ndlovu has revealed that he faced significant attacks on social media after his proposed move to Orlando Pirates was hijacked by Masandawana.
Ndlovu had travelled to Gauteng with the intention of joining the Buccaneers, but after the move fell through, he eventually completed a switch to Sundowns at Chloorkop.
The 23-year-old says he received numerous messages from unhappy fans on social media, with some going as far as insulting him over his decision to join the Brazilians.
However, Ndlovu insists that those attacks did not affect him, explaining that he is mentally strong enough to deal with the backlash and that he cannot change what has already happened.
“There’s nothing wrong between me [and Pirates],” said Ndlovu during the interview with Victor Molefe on Ukhozi FM.
“But the way they spoke to me on social media. I was getting messages on my Instagram, insulting me.
“But then I’m strong and I’m focusing on what I’m doing, where I am. What happened cannot be changed anymore.”
Ndlovu has made an impressive start to life at Sundowns, turning heads with his performances in the six matches he has played across all competitions.
