Former Orlando Pirates striker Zakhele Lepasa has revealed that he is still a Siwelele FC player despite not having played for the Bloemfontein-based Betway Premiership side this season.

Lepasa, 29, joined Siwelele in September last year as a free agent after being released by Pirates at the end of the season prior.

He had spent six years with the Buccaneers where he scored 15 goals and two assists in 64 appearances. However he has only played three matches for Siwelele in the league last season and is yet to feature for the side in this current campaign.

Speaking on Limpopo Sports Podcast the striker said he is still on Siwelele books and that things had to be sorted out behind the scenes.

“I’m still there [at Siwelele],” said Lepasa.

“A lot happened but you know we sat over time but I’m still there and like I said a lot happened.

“You also saw there were a lot of players that left the club and a lot of us didn’t know whether we are coming or going.

“So that had to be fixed obviously in the background but it seems to be fixed right now. The window is still open. Sow we’ll see.”
