Marumo Gallants have confirmed the sacking of head coach Phuti Mohafe and assistant coach Musa Bilankulu, while also confirming the loans of Orlando Pirates duo Daniel Mendami and
Abdoulaye Mariko.
Mohafe joined Gallants from Polokwane City in the off-season, in an attempt to reshuffle the technical department and find consistency.

However, after just two draws in five games, Gallants have once again pulled the trigger on a head coach, as first reported by iDiski Times.
“Marumo Gallants F.C. confirms that the Club has parted ways with Head Coach Phuti Mohafe and Assistant Coach Musa Bilankulu, with immediate effect,” the club stated.
“The Club will not be commenting further on the circumstances surrounding the decision or
engaging on the merits of the matter.
“In the interim, Second Assistant Coach Trevor Mathiane will assume responsibility as Interim
Head Coach, while the Club continues its search for a new Head Coach.
“Marumo Gallants F.C. remains focused on ensuring continuity within the team and maintaining
its preparations and commitments for the remainder of the season.”
This publication understands Gallants have held informal discussion with former Simba SC head coach Dimitar Pantev to take over from Mohafe, though no formal contact between the club and the coach has been confirmed publicly.
Meanwhile, Gallants have also confirmed the loans of Orlando Pirates duo Daniel Mendami and
Abdoulaye Mariko, while Bheki Mabuza joined the Buccaneers on a permanent transfer.
