Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies claimed bragging rights in the Tshwane Derby making it eight out of eight wins in the Hollywoodbets Super League this season after a 3-0 thumping over University of Pretoria at University of Limpopo’s Oscar Mpetha Stadium.
Melinda Kgadiete, Refilwe Tholakele and Wendy Shongwe were on target as Sundowns Ladies maintained top spot in the Super Era division with 24 points. Amatuks slipped down to third place with 16 points in nine outings.

University of Western Cape (UWC) moved up to second place in the stream with a 3-0 victory over Stellenbosch Ladies in the Cape derby. UWC are within five points of the leaders though they have played a game more while Stellies stayed at the foot of the table with no points also from nine matches.
In another game in the pool, TS Galaxy Queens returned to winning ways for the first time in three games, narrowly defeating home side Copperbelt Ladies 1-0. Gontse Homba netted the only goal as the Rockets rose one place up to fourth with 16 points while Copperbelt slipped to fifth position with 15 points both from nine outings.
Meanwhile, JVW FC returned to winning ways putting three past City Lads without a reply in a top vs bottom clash in the Super Rise stream. Regina Mogolola converted a penalty while Gabriela Moodaly-Salgado completed a brace to see the Blue Diamonds at the summit of the group with 21 points in nine games.
The Banyana Banyana international is now joint number two top goal scorer with six goals. The Lads stayed at the bottom of the log with three points from the same number of matches.
University of Fort Hare won 2-1 over University of Johannesburg (UJ) with Kesha Hendricks and captain Amanda November scoring for Hare. Fort Hare swapped places with UJ, moving into second place with 16 points while the Orange Army are now third with 14 points from nine matches.
