Former PSL Referee Victor Hlungwani has applauded Niger official Brahamou Sadou Ali for making the right call in awarding Guinea’s goal against Bafana Bafana.

There was however a huge debate from Bafana players and fans alike after Seydouba Cissé levelled matters for the visitors in the 69th minute in what appeared to be an offside from a free-kick deflection.
‘The Principal’ has since explained why the goal was allowed to stand despite remonstration from the home side.
“Some say offside, some say no offside. The ball deflect, and then Cissé scored,” he said on Soccerzone.
“You can see there’s a player [Mofokeng] sleeping there with a mattress at Orlando Amstel Arena. His leg put Cissé onside.
“Mofokeng slept and put his leg in front. Cissé as experienced as he is, capitalised on that.
“So, correct decision [by the referee to give the goal]. There’s no offside there.”
