All 24 Teams Qualified For AFCON Confirmed

After Tuesday’s final round of qualifiers, all teams that qualified for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations have been confirmed, with Mozambique booking the final ticket.

The Black Mambas qualified from Group I after beating Guinea-Bissau 2-1 away from home to move to 11 points – three behind group winners Mali.

In South Africa’s Group K, both Bafana Bafana and Uganda had already booked their ticket last week, with Hugo Broos’ men ending unbeaten on 14 points, while the Cranes finished on 13.

Africa’s highest-ranked side Morocco, were the only side to win all their qualifiers, and finished an impressive qualification campaign with a resounding 7-0 win over Lesotho to top Group B with 18 points ahead of Gabon with 10.

In Group A, Comoros topped the log with 12 points, followed by Tunisia with 10, while Morena Ramoreboli’s Botswana collected an important point in Cairo on Tuesday to join Egypt at the AFCON – the Pharaos finished on 14 points, followed by Botswana with eight.

Nigeria topped Group D with 11 points, followed by Benin with eight, while Algeria won Group E with 16 points ahead of Equatorial Guinea with eight.

Group F brought out the biggest shock, as highest-ranked Ghana were stunned by Angola, who ended on 14 points, and Sudan with eight. The Black Stars, who have won the AFCON four times, did not win a single match this qualification campaign.

Zambia, with 13 points, and defending champions Ivory Coast with 12, qualified from Group G, while DR Congo, with 12 points, and Tanzania with 10 booked their ticket from Group H.

Group J saw Cameroon end on top with 14 points followed by Zimbabwe with nine. And last but not least, Senegal topped Group L with 16 points, while Burkina Faso ended on 10.

Bafana are one of nine unbeaten teams alongside, Morocco, Comoros, Egypt, Algeria, Angola, Mali, Cameroon and Senegal.
