Chippa United are currently finalising a mutual agreement to part ways with Sporting Director Sinesipho Mali.
As first reported by FARPost, the Chilli Boys are finalizing talks with Mali as they are set to part ways, and should the agreement be reached, Mali won’t return to Chippa after the 2025 AFCON and will fully focus on Bafana Bafana.
The Eastern Cape-born man joined Chippa at the beginning of the season from Sekhukhune United with hope of reviving the Chilli Boys, unfortunately, that wasn’t the case as he firstly had a fallout with Sinethemba Badela who was the head coach at the time and was fired after just two games.
According to the information, there were disagreements when it comes to which players should the club sign, and that led to Badela leaving.
It was more of a song on repeat as coaches kept on being fired by Chippa with Musa Nyatama and Luc Eymael also following suit. Vusumuzi Vilakazi is the current head coach of Chippa and they currently sitting at the bottom of the table with nine points after 15 matches.
A close source to Chippa revealed that Mali requested to leave the club as he wants to focus on Bafana Bafana.
The Chilli Boys are currently training and won’t take a break during AFCON, meanwhile, Mali is with Bafana Bafana. Immediately after that he will shift focus to the FIFA World Cup.
