Kaizer Chiefs centre-back Inacio Miguel has been snubbed for Angola’s 26-man squad for their final two 2025 AFCON Qualifiers against Ghana and Sudan, while Orlando Pirates’ Gilberto has made the cut.
The Black Antelopes have already successfully qualified for the continental showpiece in Morocco next year and will look to round of their qualification on a high note.

The 28-year-old defender has played an integral part since making the switch to Naturena from Petro Luanda, featuring in each of Chiefs’ matches this campaign except for the 2-2 draw against Magesi due to sispension after accumulating his fourth yellow caution of the season.
National team manager Pedro Soares Goncalves has opted to leave out Miguel this time around, with the Chiefs defender’s performances of late not helping his cause after he was shown his marching orders in their 4-0 Carling Knockout Cup thumping by Mamelodi Sundowns last weekend.
The Portuguese-born towering defender has featured five times for Angola since 2020 and will be hoping to make the squad going to Morocco next year.

Orlando Pirates winger Gilberto has however made the cut for Goncalves’s squad despite starting just two matches for the Buccaneers this term.
