Springbok Captain Sends Bafana Message

Springbok and two-time World Cup-winning captain Siya Kolisi has sent a message of support to Bafana Bafana ahead of their AFCON game against Namibia on Sunday.

Bafana face Namibia in their second Group E game and will look to bounce back after losing 2-0 to Mali in last week’s opener.

Kolisi took to social media to send Bafana his best wishes, as he and Bob and Racing 92 teammate Trevor Nyikane serenaded them to remind them of the legacy of Bafana, and the heroes of 1996, when Bafana won the AFCON trophy.

“Bafana Bafana, we just wanted to remind you who has worn those jerseys before you,” Kolisi said in the video.

“Those were the glory years of our country, those were the glory years of our team. I still believe we can turn it around.

“We want to wish you all the best for AFCON. The whole country is behind you. We support and love you.

“You are a team that has carried the nation in so many ways. Please just give everything you can and things will turn around.”
