Al Ahly SC and Mamelodi Sundowns have announced their starting lineups for this evening’s highly anticipated CAF Champions League second leg semifinal clash at Cairo International Stadium.
Following a goalless draw a week ago in South Africa between the two sides, this match promises to be all sorts of entertaining as Sundowns will look to upset the hosts who they have a very good record against while Ahly are the defending champions and aim to reach the final and possibly defend their trophy.
Sundowns on the other side aim to end the hoodoo of not being able to reach the CAFCL final. The Tshwane giants last reached the CAFCL final in 2016 when they won it.
A goalless draw will see the game being decided on penalties, meanwhile a draw of goals will see Sundowns progress to the final. Any win for either side will see them progress to the final.
The Cairo International Stadium is expected to be fully packed after The Red Devils’ application for full house was approved by the Egyptian FA.
