Stellenbosch star Jayden Adams has opened up about his Bafana Bafana call-up for the FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Benin and Rwanda.
Adams received his first national team senior call-up two weeks ago. The 22-year-old was rewarded by Hugo Broos for his previous performance at club level which saw him playing week in, week out.
The Stellies youth development told the media that he had a good experience and players welcomed him with open arms. He stated players helped a lot to him to feel comfortable at the camp.
“It was a very good experience for me as a youngster and players helped me a lot on camp and at the club, so yeah, it was a good experience,” Adams told iDiski Times.
At the age of 22 years, Adams will be making his 100th appearance for Stellies this coming weekend if he features. He is sitting with six goals including the one he scored recently in the Cape Town derby against Cape Town Spurs.
“It’s a very special moment for me being here at this club for a long time,” he added.
“So, this is very special for me and for my community. So, for the young players out there, just work hard.”
