Al Ahly club-record signing Hussein El Shahat has issued a bold promise to the club’s supporters for the 2024/25 CAF Champions League campaign.
The Egypt international winger joined the Red Devils from Al Ain in January 2019 in a club record €4.4M (R85-million) transfer and has since become an integral part of the squad.

He’s won 17 trophies, which included four Champions League crowns and he’s now suggested that his fifth is incoming this campaign.
Al Ahly is in Group C alongside CR Belouizdad, Orlando Pirates and Stade d’Abidjan, who they beat 4-2 in Cairo to open their group stage campaign this week.
“As long as we have Al Ahly fans behind us, we are not scared of anything. I promise the fans a third consecutive CAF Champions League title,” he told Al Ahly TV, as per KingFut.
“Our target is to reach the final for the sixth consecutive year, then win the tournament to make the fans happy.”

The 32-year-old who has been nominated for the CAF inter-club Player of the Year award has scored 56 goals, with 53 assists in 239 games for the Red Devils across all competitions.
