Tanzanian side Azam FC are not prepared to sell Feisal Salum this season, especially since they are still in contention for the NBC Premier League title.
Salum has been one of the most talked about players in Africa with so many teams reported to have shown interest in him.
In his first season with Azam, he was instrumental in netting 21 goals in all competitions and helped them to finish second despite the huge gap of 11 points behind Young Africans who won the league title.
His good performance attracted interest from several teams, including Wydad Athletic Club, Mamelodi Sundowns, Kaizer Chiefs, and Simba SC but nothing materialized at the beginning of the season.
After a brilliant start this season which saw him scoring four goals and providing nine assists, the interest has been revived from all different angles.
Speaking with iDiski Times, an inside source from Azam FC revealed on condition of being kept discreet confirmed that Salum has 18 months left in his contract and they hope to keep him until his contract comes to an end as they want to compete for the league title.

“We haven’t received any offers at this stage, but one thing I can say is there’s a very small chance for us to sell him because we want to keep him and build this team around him,” an inside source told iDiski Times.
“If it happens that we sell him, it will be outside Tanzania, we cannot sell to our direct competitors. Image selling a weapon to your rival, no we just cannot. For now, we want him to focus and help us.”
