Aziz Ki Makes Huge Mokwena Admission

Yanga SC striker Stephane Aziz Ki has admitted that he would like to play for Wydad Athletic coach Rulani Mokwena.

The 28-year-old has been on Mokwena’s radar since last season, with the player’s current coach Miguel Gamondi, admitting after Yanga’s friendly with Kaizer Chiefs that the former Mamelodi Sundowns coach had not given up on signing the player as Wydad had also tabled several offers. Gamondi went on to say that the player is however committed to Yanga.

The Burkinabe attacker spoke to iDiski Times senior writer Velile Mnyandu in edition 166 of the newspaper, where he admitted that he’d like to play for Mokwena because of how his style of play. He further reiterated that he is committed to the Tanzanian champions, but that things could change in the future.

“Honestly, I would like to play for him because of the way his team plays,” Aziz Ki told iDiski Times.

“I watched a lot of his games at Sundowns; this coach’s philosophy is something else; it’s very nice. For sure when you are a player with quality, you want to play for a coach like that because you will learn so many things from him.

“I’m open to working with him in the future, but for now, it’s not the good moment because I’m with Yanga, and also we have a new team. But you’ll never know; maybe after this season, I can be with him, or when I finish the contract, I can be with him or another team.

“But in football, you’ll never know tomorrow, you can get an offer that will be more and maybe even join coach Rulani or any other team.”
