Young Africans SC and Burkina Faso star Stephane Aziz Ki has opened up on his relationship with Kaizer Chiefs coach Nasreddine Nabi, saying he sees him as a father figure.
The two worked together at the current Tanzanian Premier League champions, winning back-to-back trebles before Nabi moved to ASFAR in the Botola Pro league.
The coach finished second in Morocco before joining Chiefs, on a mandate to revive a sleeping giant that hasn’t won silverware in nine seasons.
Aziz Ki told iDiski Times senior writer Velile Mnyandu in edition 166 of the newspaper that he regards the Tunisian tactician as his father and he holds him in high regard, while he wishes him the best in South Africa.
“You know everything in football, you must respect your coach,” Aziz Ki told iDiski Times.
“He’s like my father, and I like to protect my relationship with him. Even at Yanga, it was not easy; I always wish him all the best in everything that he does in his new team.”
