Billiat & Rusike Shine In Zimbabwe

Khama Billiat and Evans Rusike were on the scoresheet for Yadah FC, as they held reigning Castle Lager Premier Soccer League champions, Ngezi Platinum to a 2-2 away from home.

Billiat completed a surprise return to his home country in January, joining The Miracle Boys after spending almost a year without a team in South Africa.

The 34-year-old recently came back from injury after missing the game against Chegutu Pirates.

This is Billiat’s first official goal for Yadah after completing the move and becoming the highest-paid player in the Zimbabwean Premier League.

Rusike hadn’t been with a club since leaving Moroka Swallows FC in July, but he also recently joined Yadah, joining Billiat with the hope of bringing joy to the Miracle Boys’ supporters.

The former SuperSport United forward also opened his account in the Yadah colours, making it 1-0 inside just two minutes. However, the the hosts pulled two back before half-time. Billiat, though, ensured a much-needed point for Yadah, scoring the equaliser after 65 minutes.

The Zimbabwean big spenders are currently sitting inside the relegation zone with just seven points after eight matches, having only won one match and drew four.

Their next encounter is against Chicken Inn at the Heart Stadium, which is the home of Yadah FC.
