Cameroon Captain Aboubakar Set For Next Move

Cameroon captain Vincent Aboubakar is closing in on a return to Europe after parting ways with Al Nassr via mutual termination.

The 30-year-old striker was keen on an exit from the Saudi Pro League side before the 2022 FIFA World Cup and was able to terminate his contract in order to free up a foreign quota spot after the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo.

Interest in England, France, and Turkey immediately started to make headlines but his former club Besiktas has confirmed negotiations have begun for his third stint.

The player was pictured arriving in Istambul on Saturday morning as he now expects to conclude contract talks and a routine medical before being unveiled the club’s supporters.

Aboubakar scored 35 goals and registered nine asists in 67 games during his previous stints with the Turkish Super Lig giants.
