Taifa Stars head coach Hemed Suleiman has rated Azam FC midfielder Feisal Salum as a good midfielder in Tanzania who can play anywhere as links intensify that he could sign for Kaizer Chiefs after their goalless draw with Bafana Bafana.
Salum has been heavily linked with a move to South Africa specifically Kaizer Chiefs for almost two seasons now, but the 27-year-old is still contracted to Tanzanian side Azam FC until June 2026. A move to Chiefs is likely to happen even though a close source to Azam revealed that they haven’t received a formal offer from the South African giants.
All eyes were glued to Salum when Tanzania played to stalemate against Bafana Bafana in an international friendly at Peter Mokaba Stadium. Chiefs supporters witnessed what they could be their player in the next coming days.
Suleiman praised Salum stating that he can play at any league and he is currently the best midfielder in the NBC Premier League.
“Faisal, he has quality like South African players so for me when he is coming here, he can play at any team, and I think he is a good midfielder in Tanzania at the moment,” Suleiman told the media.
“So, he is a good player, still young we need to support him, but he is good player. He can play anywhere.”
