Bafana Bafana were drawn in Group A with Mozambique, Eswatini and Botswana at the upcoming 2024 COSAFA Cup.
The dates for the tournament have finally been set, and it will take place between 26 June to 7 July in South Africa.
The draw for the tournament took place today, with the 12 participating teams being split in three groups of four teams. Hosts South Africa, last year’s winners Zambia and Angola, the next best-placed team according to FIFA rankings, were the three seeded teams.

Madagascar and Mauritius are the two COSAFA nations who have opted not to compete the in the tournament.
The three group winners and the best second-placed team will advance to the semi-finals, meaning each country will play a minimum of three games and a maximum of five.
After winning back-to-back titles, Zambia are the record champions of the tournament with seven COSAFA Cup titles, while Zimbabwe have six and South Africa five. Angola with three and Namibia with one, are the only other teams who have won the regional competition.
