Fadlu Davids’ Simba SC could move top of the NBC Tanzanian Premier League should they come away with a home victory against Kinondoni MC this afternoon.
Simba could leapfrog arch-rivals Young Africans into top spot with the two sides just separated by two points and with Yanga only in action tomorrow.

The Reds of Msimbazi needed a 96th-minute goal from Steven Mukwala in their previous match against Mashujaa FC to seal a much-needed 1-0 victory and consolidate third place.
Davids has emphasized that they need to find a way to break down a low block as it seems like many teams will use that approach against Simba. The Tanzanian giants have never lost to KMC in the history of the NBC Premier League.
“I think our preparations have gone well after a very tough match away from home,” Davids told the media.
“We are happy to be back at KMC, but we expect a very tough match against a well-coached side, and we are ready for the match.
“We don’t expect them to sit deep, they can have an approach sometimes where they start to press high so we have to be ready for all scenarios.
“They have a very good coach. A coach that won’t just retreat and sit back. There can be a situation where they say let’s press, we have to be prepared for that.

“If they do decide to sit deep, or sometimes it’s not a team of a coach that decides to sit deep, sometimes it’s us that are imposing our build-up structures that don’t allow them to press us, we do force them into a low block it is our job to find the space to try to manipulate the structure in relation to get behind them or unlock them,” Davids added.
