Former Kaizer Chiefs striker Knowledge Musona was on target for Scottland FC who claimed a 2-0 win over CAPS United in the Harare Derby at the National Sports Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The reigning Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League champions walked away with the bragging rights to move within one point of league leaders Hard Rock after match-day 15.
Norman Mapeza’s charges picked up their seventh win of the campaign to move to 28 points, having also drawn seven and losing just once so far this season.
The ‘Smiling Assasin’ opened the scoring in the eighth minute before Panashe Mutimbanyoka added the second in the 11th minute.
Back in April, another former Amakhosi man in Khama Billiat, scored and was named man of the match in the Harare Derby for Scottland as they narrowly beat MWOS FC 1-0.
Billiat made a return to his homeland of Zimbabwe in 2024, first signing for Yadah FC before jumping ship to join newbies Scottland the following season after they gained promotion from the second division to the Zimbabwean top flight.
Upon joining Scottland, Billiat and Musona contributed immensely aiding the rookies Scottland to the 2025 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League title.
Amakhosi Football Manager Bobby Motaung was spotted among the dignitaries of Scottland FC, even presenting the club with a Chiefs jersey to President Scott Sakupwanya Shumba.
