Ex-Pirates Stars Spotted In Botswana

Three former Orlando Pirates players were spotted in Botswana this past weekend; Oupa Manyisa, Phenyo Mongale, and Brighton Mhlongo.

At the beginning of the season, former Bidvest Wits captain Sifiso Myeni was unveiled by Botswana first division side VTM FC.

It became a shock as nobody expected the move. Six months down the line, the club had the honour to be visited by former Orlando Pirates player Rooi Mahamutsa.

He was welcomed by the club and the supporters as a visitor, a few days after he was unveiled as a new player and signed a six-month deal.

VTM is sitting top of the Botswana South First Division league table and over the weekend, familiar faces of Manyisa, Mhlongo and Mongale were spotted at the VTM Arena as they beat Mochudi Centre Chiefs by 2-0 to remain top of the league table with 40 points.

Mahamutsa was signed in a similar way where he came as a visitor but ended up joining the club.

VTM need to win their final two games to secure promotion to the elite league of Botswana.
