Gamondi Opens Up On Aziz Ki Amid Wydad Links

Young Africans SC head coach Miguel Gamondi has sent a hands-off warning to Rulani Mokwena’s Wydad Athletic Club who have tabled several offers from Stephane Aziz Ki.

The 28-year-old Ivorian-born talisman netted a brace as The Young Stars hammered Kaizer Chiefs 4-0 in the inaugural Toyota Cup at the Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein on Sunday afternoon.

Aziz Ki was also named the Man of the Match, and it’s no secret that newly appointed Wydad head coach Rulani Mokwena is a keen admirer of the Burkinabe playmaker as he looks to secure the midfielder’s services.

“It’s true Wydad [Casablanca] made an offer,” Gamondi told the media.

“Stephane Aziz Ki is committed to our project. You know he cannot move anywhere.

“Aziz is a fantastic player; he knows he needs to be in the right place as well this season where you can develop your capacity.

“But for me, no way he can go.

“We are so quiet we work in silence and make the player happy,” he added.

The 30-time Tanzanian Premier League champions are gearing up for what promises to be another exciting campaign as they look to defend their league title and compete on both domestic and continental front.
