After Senegal lifted their first ever African Cup of Nations title, here is how much the 2021 winners received in prize money.
The Lions of Teranga beat the Pharaohs 4-2 on penalties after the match had ended in a goalless stalemate in 120 minutes.
As a consequence, Senegal banked $5 million (R77.6 million) in prize money at this year’s tournament.

- Cameroon & Burkina Faso: $2.2 million (R34.2 million)
- Gambia, Tunisia, Morocco & Equatorial Guinea: $1.175 million (R18.2 million)
The 2023 African Cup of Nations will take place in Ivory Coast and kick off on 23 June 2023.
The qualification for the tournament will start on 21 March 2022 when the 12 lowest ranked African teams will meet each other in a preliminary round.
