Mansour Threatens To Sack Carteron

Controversial Zamalek President Mortada Mansour has not held back against head coach Patrice Carteron after their goalless draw in the CAF Champions League.

The White Knights who won the Egyptian Premier League last season laboured to a 0-0 draw with Angolan giants Sagrada Esperanca this weekend which clearly ruffled the feathers of the recently reinstated president.

“Carteron, I ask you to fear God, if I wanted to relieve you from your position I could have done it long ago,” Mortada told the media after the game, as per KingFut.

“Stop sending someone to ask for your salary every month, there are no unpaid dues and you get your monthly salary with no delays.

“All I ask you is to focus on the team, the gameplan, and to play every player in the right position. I would also like to ask the fans for support, the players need them. This is not the right time for criticism.”

Zamalek who are three points behind league leaders Al Ahly – who have a game in hand over them – face Wydad Athletic Club next on Saturday evening in Casablanca.
