Former Orlando Pirates head coach Milutin Sredojević has heaped huge praised on Rulani Mokwena’s side MC Alger after their match-up on Tuesday.
Sredojević, who currently coaches ES Setif, as they languish closer to relegation, faced Mokwena for the first time since their time at Pirates as head coach and assistant.
Speaking to the media after the clash, Micho spoke highly of Mokwena stating that MC Alger is well coached.
“First of all, we played a well-coached team. A team that played with 12 players, 11 players on the field and player number 12 supporters,” he stated.
“We prepared very well and matched them in the first half, closing all the elements that opponents are looking for, and sharing in mind that I was working with Rulani for three years. I know how he thinks about football.
“So, on half-time we emphasised what are the things that we need to close, what are the things we need to expose and under circumstances, things worked well in the first half and in the second half one directed cross from player number 25 that was crossing inside our young defender Naem was tracking and we conceded that first goal.
“Second goal was coming as a product of the same player to make it up to what he has made in defensive aspect, creating penalty that opponents scored.”
