Mokwena – There Are No Harry Potter Moments In Football

Wydad Athletic Club head coach Rulani Mokwena is happy with the team’s progress ahead of a difficult fixture against JS Soualem.

Wydad had a difficult start to the season. Following three losses and four draws, they dropped 17 points out of a possible 36, leaving them eight points behind first-placed RS Berkane.

Mokwena believes that they are slowly moving in the right direction as he stated that there’s no magic in football or cutting corners.

“We’ve prepared very well the team is strong, and we’ve had a few problems, particularly with a couple of muscle tissue injuries but I have to give a lot of credit to our medical staff they’ve done some exceptional work behind the scenes course now we try to bring a bit of consistency in our lineup,” Mokwena said.

“The team in the last four games has done exceptionally well. We know we play against another opponent that as Wydad last season they beat us home and away, and we were not able to get points against a very good opponent, now it is time to redeem ourselves to show a lot of humility, particularly to our fans and the people that love us to try to put the club back to where it deserve to be.

“It’s been difficult of course at the beginning of the f season and you can see with football there’s no magic formula, there’s no magic stick and Harry Porter moments.

“We are probably in a similar space as Manchester United if you look, a new coach and possibilities of the new squad and really trying to stabilize the performances Olympique Marseille is probably in the same situation with a new coach and a lot of new players but we are quietly confident.”
