‘Mosimane Wants Beckham Back At Al Ahly’

Pitso Mosimane wants Ahmed Ramadan Beckham back at Al Ahly, the player’s current coach has claimed.

The 24-year-old was loaned to Smouha from Al Ahly in the beginning of the season and should only return by the end of the campaign.

However, Smouha coach Ahmed Samy has revealed that Mosimane has spoken with his former player and would like him back sooner.

“Mosimane spoke with Beckham, he told him that he wants him to return, but it’s not a manager’s decision to make,” Samy said, as cited by Kingfut.

“For Beckham to go back to Al Ahly, the bosses of both clubs should reach an agreement, and for now, Ahmed is staying with Smouha.

“Beckham leaving now would be very difficult for us, it’s a hard decision to make.”

The right-back has made seven appearances for Smouha in the league this season so far, having featured in 11 games for Al Ahly last season.

On Thursday, he was part of the team that dismantled Mosimane’s Al Ahly 3-0 in what was the heaviest defeat for the South African coach since taking over the Egyptian giants.
