Nasreddine Nabi’s ASFAR reached the Throne Cup final after beating MAS de Fes 2-0.
The Tunisian tactician is expected to take over the Kaizer Chiefs hot-seat but his arrival could potentially be delayed after FAR booked their ticket in the Throne Cup final.

Nabi’s side scored the opener after 29 minutes via Youssef Aguerdoum after a dominant first half. They added the second goal in the 60th minute thanks to a goal by Amine Zouhzouh.
It was ASFAR’s fifth successive win over MAS de Fes, and they will now face the winner between Josef Zinnbauer’s Raja Athletic Club and Oujda, who meet on Tuesday.
Sunday’s success comes a week after Nabi’s ASFAR missed out on the Botola Pro League title, with Zinnbauer’s Raja beating them by one point.
With the Moroccan King yet to decide on the date and time of the Throne Cup final, Nabi is still expected to arrive at Naturena soon, while parts of his coaching staff are expected this week.
This publication understands, his current assistant coach Khalil Ben Youssef, who worked as an analyst with him at Yanga will join as his second assistant, former Mauritania goalkeeper coach Ilyes Mzoughi has already been secured while Majdi Safi, who worked with Wydad and Raja replaces Muzi Maluleke as the strength and conditioning coach.
