Raymond Mdaka’s U20 team will face different opposition than originally planned after the redraw of the CAF U20 Africa Cup of Nations on Sunday.
The tournament will take place in Egypt now, after the Ivory Coast withdrew as hosts at the last minute.
Having originally been drawn to face the hosts, Morocco and Nigeria, South Africa will now only face Egypt, after being drawn in the five-team Group A.
They will also face familiar opposition in COSAFA rival, Zambia, as well as Tanzania and Sierra Leone.
The tournament kicks off on the 27th of April when Egypt host South Africa.
