The Lesotho Football Association are currently interviewing for their senior men’s team head coach role, and a South African coach is amongst a list of familiar candidates.
The LFA announced they would be holding interviews this weekend for the role that was vacated by Thabo Senong last year. Senong left Lesotho just before the Cosafa Cup to join Sekhukhune United as an assistant manager. Technical director Leslie Notsi led the team in the interim.
There are a few familiar names amongst the interviewees, including former Orlando Pirates, Platinum Stars, Highlands Park and TS Galaxy coach Owen Da Gama. Da Gama has also served as the South African national under-23 coach, and as an assistant and caretaker coach for Bafana Bafana.
Da Gama is set to be interviewed by the LFA on Sunday.
Others being interviewed this weekend include former Botswana and Platinum stars coach Peter Butler, former Bloemfontein Celtic coach Veselin Jelusic (Serbia), former Marumo Gallants coach Sebastian Migne (France), while Sellas Tetteh (Ghana), Frederick de Meyer from Belgium and Jonathan McKinstry (Ireland) are also being interviewed.
