Pitso Mosimane has opened up on his encounter with N’Golo Kante and revealed what the Chelsea star spoke to him about.
‘Jingles’ was in celebratory mood after leading his team to back-to-back bronze medal at the Club World Cup after beating Al Hilal 4-0 in the third-place playoff.
The medal ceremony took place after the final, with Chelsea’s players forming a guard of honour for Ahly as they picked up their third-place medals.
Later, Mosimane was pictured with midfielder and FIFA World Cup winner Kante, stating the superstar asked him to arrange a meeting with Aliou Dieng and insisted he is one of the most humble players he’s ever met.
“I was a messenger, I was sent. He said ‘coach can you please get Aliou Dieng around? I need to speak to him,” Mosimane revealed on the Ultimate Sport Show.
“When you’re sent by a World Cup winner, a Champions league winner and a Club World Cup winner, N’Golo Kante, he is sending me. What a humble guy, unbelievable, another level.
“He’s achieved so much, he is so humble. John Terry, nice guys man. I don’t understand how people who are so successful can be so humble and treat us like us that.
“I thought Hansi Flick was very good to me and humble last year. I felt different this year, this year was on another level.”
Mosimane also explained that he got Chelsea star Mason Mount’s shirt for his daughter.
“Mason Mount’s jersey is not for me. It was for my daughter, who loves the game and always says ‘Mason Mount, Mason Mount’, so I spoke to him and he gave me the jersey,” he explained.
“She deserves it, she works hard.”
