Pitso’s Al Ahly Suffer First Defeat Of 2021/22

Pitso Mosimane’s Al Ahly have suffered their first defeat of the 2021/22 Egyptian Premier League campaign, going down 1-0 to Al Masry.

It took 12 games for Mosimane’s men to suffer lose their first match, with al Masry going ahead early in the match thanks Haythem Ayouni.

Al Ahly failed to get back into the tie and also failed to score for a first time this campaign. Percy Tau played the full match but couldn’t change the outcome of the tie.

Mosimane’s side, though remained at the top of the Egyptian Premier League with 31 points.

The are followed by Zamalek level on points but with one game in hand after the White Nights picked up a 1-0 win over Misr Lel Makkasa, while Pyramids follow in third spot with 29 points following a 1-0 victory over Ghazl El Mehalla.

Saturday’s defeat was Mosimane’s ninth loss since taking over Al Ahly in 2020.
