PSL Star Makes Ghana AFCON Squad

Ghana coach Chris Hughton has announced his final squad for the Africa Cup of Nations, and Orlando Pirates goalkeeper Richard Ofori made the selection.

Ofori, 30, has only made three appearances for the Buccaneers this season, all of them in the CAF Champions League and the last coming in September but he is one of the three keepers in the Black Stars squad.

He started the last two games for Ghana and will be at his fourth AFCON. Overall, he has made 26 appearances for his home country since making his debut in 2015.

Ghana were drawn in Group B alongside Egypt, Mozambique and Cape Verde. Other notable players in the squad are the Ayew brothers, Mohammed Kudus and Inaki Williams, while Arsenal’s Thomas Partey didn’t make the selection.
