Mamelodi Sundowns and AS Maniema Union have confirmed their starting lineups for this evening’s CAF Champions League group stage clash at Loftus Versfeld Stadium.
A much-needed quick turnaround for Sundowns is needed after losing the Carling Knockout Cup final to Magesi FC on Saturday.

The journey for continental glory continues for the 2016 CAF Champions League winners as they welcome the DRC side. Sundowns have had a good run in the CAFCL group stages in the past few seasons and will hope to continue with that.
Maniema arrived in South Africa on Saturday and had more than two training sessions ahead of this clash. They are currently sitting top of DRC Ligue 1 – Group B after seven matches.
They are also 20 matches unbeaten and last lost an official match in March 2024 against TP Mazembe away from home.
This is not the first time these two sides face each other. They played a 2-2 draw in DRC before Sundowns won 2-0 at home.
