Rulani Mokwena’s Wydad Athletic Club have reached the next round of the Excellence Cup on Sunday evening, beating Kawkab Athlétique Club of Marrakech.
Both teams had won their first round fixtures in the Excellence Cup, with beating Jeunesse Massira 2-0 to hand Mokwena his first win as Wydad coach.
On Sunday, Wydad failed to beat Botola Pro 2 side KACM, drawing 0-0.
Both teams are currently sitting on four points in their group, with the top two from each group advancing to the knockout stages.
So far, Mokwena has one win, one draw and one defeat, which came in their Botolo Pro opener in official matches as Wyad coach.
