Yeye On His Coaching Job In Botswana

Matebele FC head coach Reneilwe Letsholonyane admits that it’s not easy to work outside the country, but it is a challenge he is up to.

In August, Letsholonyane was appointed as the head coach of the Botswana Premier League side and the former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder hasn’t had a good start to the season after collecting eight points in 12 matches and sitting in the relegation zone.

Despite the results, Yeye has received backing from the Matebele management, and he is also convinced that he will turn things around.

Speaking with iDiski Times, Letsholonyane mentioned that it is challenging for him to be outside the country, but it is a challenge that he welcomes.

“So far so good. A bit challenging. I’m in a different country, working with different people, a different culture of course,” Letsholonyane told iDiski Times.

“Different in how things are done, so readjusting was needed and I’m getting there.

“On the football side, we are playing well, and the team’s performance is getting better every game that we play. It is just that results haven’t been the way we would like them to be.

“But it is work in progress, we trust and believe in the process. Dealing with a lot of young and inexperienced players in the elite league is not easy, but we keep working hard to improve that.”
