Hugo Broos has cut 22 names from his Bafana Bafana squad for the final two 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The Belgian tactician has led Bafana to a 22-unbeaten run, although there is now an asterix after FIFA deducted three points from Bafana for the game against Lesotho.

FIFA punished Bafana and South African Football Association for fielding an “ineligible player” in Teboho Mokoena who was suspended for the 2-0 win over Lesotho.
As a consequence Broos and his troops dropped to second place in Group C behind Benin and now need to secure two wins and outscore the Squirrels in their games vs Zimbabwe and Rwanda.
On Thursday, Broos announced his final 23 man squad after he’s had to cut the following 22 names:
