Bafana Bafana have drawn their final warm-up friendly ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup opener 1-1 with Jamaica.

The match was played behind closed doors at the Hildago Stadium.

With no media allowed to attend, there were conflicting reports of the final score, as some outlets claimed the game finished 1-0 to Bafana.

However, Jamaica – who played largely without their star players – scored a late equaliser, according to ESTO.

Lyle Foster had given Bafana the lead before the youthful Jamaican side found a late equaliser.

The result was confirmed by a member of the Jamaican technical team, as per ESTO, while SAFA are yet to comment on the match.

Bafana head into the World Cup, having failed to win any of their last five games – they were knocked out of the AFCON by Cameroon, drew and lost to Panama, played a 0-0 with Nicaragua before traveling to Mexico and now the 1-1 with Jamaica.

Hugo Broos’ men will face World Cup co-hosts Mexico, who hammered Serbia 5-1 in their last warm-up match, in four days on 11 June in the opening match of the tournament.
