AmaZulu FC head coach Arthur Zwane is the leading candidate to join Pitso Mosimane’s technical team as second assistant coach at Bafana Bafana.
The South African Football Association announced Pitso Mosimane as new head coach a week ago, with his long-term colleagues Musi Matlaba and Kabelo Rangoago forming part of his technical team.

On Tuesday afternoon, SAFA confirmed that Morena Ramorobeli will leave his position as Botswana head coach to be joining Mosimane’s technical team as assistant coach, as first reported by this publication in July.
But iDiski Times has been reliably informed that Mosimane’s technical team is not complete yet, as they look to bring more hands to the task, and Zwane’s name has come up on top of the list as one of the assistant coaches.
‘Mangethe’ has grown in his coaching having first coached Kaizer Chiefs before joining AmaZulu. 10111 has delivered a great season at Usuthu as the sole head coach, finishing in the top four and has already started the new season on a high note as Usuthu is currently sitting in fifth place with 10 points after 10 games.
Mosimane had stated that his technical team was not complete but some additions are more tricky because they are in current jobs, with Morena first to step away from his Botswana role.
The new Bafana technical team is expected to be complete before the upcoming 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Guinea, with SAFA confirming the game will be hosted at Orlando Stadium, and Eritrea on 26 and 30 September.
