Zimbabwe attacker Khama Billiat has explained what makes the Warriors squad strong ahead of meeting Bafana Bafana.
The former Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns star is part of the team that will take on South Africa in the FIFA World Cup qualifier on Friday at Moses Mabhida Stadium.
Zimbabwe will be using the Durban-based venue due to the unavailability of a stadium that is up to international standard in their country.
Billiat says Zimbabwe, who have been in Durban for some days now preparing for the match, brought most of their key players to camp for this game.
“The chemistry is good, I think we have most of the guys in the camp,” said Billiat.
“The most important thing is to gel together in a short space period of time, so far, so good.
“Our [training] sessions have been great so far. We have been focusing on moving the ball and getting the legs going.
“We’re gradually getting there and the guys are ready. We still have days, we will be ready. I think the guys are gelling very well and we’re training very well.
“We’re looking good and the combinations are good. We just need to keep focusing and work together. We trust everyone who’s here, we will follow what the coach wants us to do so that we can be ready on the day.”
Except Billiat, other notable names from the Zimbabwe squad include Knowledge Musona, Marvellous Nakamba, Tawanda Chirewa, Walter Musona, Divine Lunga, among others.
