Bafana are currently on a 24-match unbeaten streak on the field, although that official record was shortened by the points deduction from FIFA for fielding an ineligible player against Lesotho.
Broos had initially announced a 43-man provisional squad and has now cut it down to 23 names, stating that he has invited a few new players to give them a chance before the Africa Cup of Nations and World Cup.
