Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has revealed what to expect from his team’s line-up against Angola in the AFCON opener.
The two teams face off in their opening group stage match on Monday evening at the Stade de Marrakech with kick-off scheduled for 19:00 [SA time].
South Africa will be aiming for maximum points before they take on the mighty Egypt on 26 December and Zimbabwe on 29 December.
Broos says the starting line-up will remain largely unchanged from the team that started in their recent games.
“Surely [I have an idea of how the team will set up], we did the analysis of the opponents in the past weeks,” said Broos in the pre-match press conference.
“I have an idea but as you know the team won’t be changed a lot if you compare it with the previous matches.
“But again, maybe will be some changes because they are opponents that play another football than “African football” if I can put it like that.
“So, we have to be aware of that and the qualities. I think we will have to see which team is the best to start on the day.”
