The upcoming friendly between world champions France and Bafana Bafana has been sold out already, with the French Football Federation (FFF) set to donate R1.6 million to UNICEF.

Les Bleus will face Ivory Coast and South Africa in two friendly games on 25 March and 29 March and will donate €1 (R16) of each sold ticket to UNICEF to help Ukrainian children affected by the ongoing war with Russia, as per GFF h/t L’Equipe.
Friday’s friendly against Ivory Coast will take place at the Stade Velodrome in Marseille, which can host 65 000 supporters, while the match against Bafana will take place at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy in Lille.
The 50 000-seater has already been sold out, according to the report, while Friday’s match is likely the same. As a consequence, the FFF are likely to raise €100 000 (R1.6 million) for the good cause.
In addition, the shirts worn by the French national team will also be put up for an auction and the revenue generated from the sales will be added to the donation by the FFF.
