After France coach Didier Deschamps gave some insights into his team selection for the Bafana Bafana game, here is how the world champions could line up.
Deschamps met media on Tuesday ahead of Les Bleus friendly match with Bafana, which will kick off at 21:15 on Tuesday.
The France coach confirmed that AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan will make his first start for France.
“Yes, he will start tomorrow,” Deschamps said in his pre-match press conference.
“He has constantly progressed. It is a very good thing. Mike is a quiet force, and add to that his character as a leader.”
Deschamps also gave an update Aurelien Tchouameni and Paul Pogba, but didn’t want to rule them out of the clash.
“Aurelien Tchouameni has been in a feverish state since yesterday. Paul Pogba received a kick on the foot in the last game,” he added.
“We will check this with the medical staff tomorrow (Tuesday) to find out if they can play against South Africa.”
Deschamps also insisted that Kylian Mbappe, who missed Friday’s 2-1 win over Ivory Coast, has put the Paris Saint-Germain’s recent elimination from the UEFA Champions League behind him.
“Since (Mbappe) arrived, he is radiant, he is smiling, he is as we know him,” Deschamps explained.
“Elimination with PSG is already behind him. He is part of the group, he knows that he is important for the group.”
How could France line up?
